The core system requirements for the
MercuryXMS MMS SDK are:
- Microsoft Windows®2000, NT 4.0,
XP, Windows® Server 2003
- 64Mb RAM
- 10Mb disk space
- Web Server for MMS Notifications
- Binary SMS delivery capability
- Visibility of your web server through your operators firewall
The phone(s) you are sending to
must support MMS.
You will also need to make sure the target
phone(s) support the media formats that you encode with the
SDK. In order to send messages using MMS notifications, you
need a binary SMS connection which could include one or several
of the following:
- GSM Modem
- Cell-phone cable or IR/Bluetooth connection to a cell-phone
- Direct connection to an SMSC through a protocol such as SMPP
- Messaging connection to a third party messaging provider such
as Clickatell, MXTelecom, PsychicSMS or many other messaging
providers available over the Internet.
In order to send messages using a GPRS terminal, you need
either:
- GPRS modem from a vendor such as Wavecom, Nokia or Ericsson
- A direct connection to a cell-phone that can act as a GPRS
modem through a cable, infra-red or over BlueTooth.
