Why do I need the Mobile Video & Audio SDK? |
Wireless devices are capable of playing video
and audio (music, podcasts, etc) but the formats they
support are not as common as the Windows® desktop formats that you would
be familiar with. Mobile video and audio must be heavily
compressed in a way that maintains quality but reduces size to
cater for the limited capability of many devices. The Mobile
Video & Audio SDK gives you the capability of transcoding all
your existing video and audio content into mobile-ready formats.

Nokia has a free video/audio converter - why would I need to buy
yours? |
The free tool from Nokia (and other vendors)
will give you a desktop application to convert your content, and
this may be enough. However, if you need to automatically transcode
content or add this capability to your own applications or
website, our SDK will give you that capability and flexibility
with an API that can meet your every requirement.

Your tools are too expensive - I'll go and write my own |
| We get this feedback a lot and we respect
developers who choose to build their own solutions. There are
numeroussource projects that you can draw on, but keep in
mind that testing will take up the majority of your time -
multiple networks, multiple handsets, GSM/CDMA. You will also
need to take into account the pitfalls of each protocols (MM1,
MM4, MM7, SMPP). MMS is supposed to be a standard but
unfortunately handset manufacturers did not implement them in a
standard way. Our tools are mature solutions that have been
tested worldwide and across nearly every MMS handset on the
market today. Our clients are usually delivering
MMS from their applications within a day or two. Finally, our
support is first class, offering you the technical expertise and
guidance to help you get your project implemented as fast as
possible. |

How
do I know if your SDK will work with a particular carrier? |
| Our SDKs have all been tested against the
most common handsets such as those from Nokia, Ericsson,
Motorola, Siemens and others. You can apply for a trial version
to test if your networks support MMS. |
| |
Will your solution work with MM7? |
| Yes, we have MM7 connectors you can use to
plug into your direct MMSC connection. Please contact us for details. |
