The core system requirements for the MercuryXMS MMS SDK are:

- Microsoft Windows®2000, NT 4.0, XP, Windows® Server 2003
- 64Mb RAM
- 10Mb disk space
- Web Server for MMS Notifications
- Binary SMS delivery capability

The phone(s) you are sending to must support MMS.

- Direct connection to an SMSC through a protocol such as SMPP
- Messaging connection to a third party messaging provider such as Clickatell, MXTelecom, PsychicSMS or many other messaging providers available over the Internet.
In order to send messages using a GPRS terminal, you need either:
- GPRS modem from a vendor such as Wavecom, Nokia or Ericsson
- A direct connection to a cell-phone that can act as a GPRS modem through a cable, infra-red or over BlueTooth.
