Cell attributes such as the Interior, Font, Text Alignment, Text Color, Text Orientation, Borders, Wrap Text Mode, Auto Size Mode, Allow Enter Mode, Control Type, Format, Choice List (used by cell types that display a list of choices.), Image List, Data Source, Read/Write mode and Base Style can be changed with a single line of code.

Databinding: ADO.NET

Syncfusion Essential Grid can be natively bound to DataTables, DataViews etc. In general Syncfusion Essential Grid can be databound to any component that implements the IListSource interface or any component that implements the IList interface. It also supports binding to single dimensional arrays.

Syncfusion Essential Grid also supports binding individual cells to datasources. This can be useful in cases such as when a Combo Boxset of choices need to be based on a query from a foreign table.

Databinding: Custom Data Sources

Syncfusion Essential Grids support for custom data binding truly sets it apart from all other Grid controls on the market. It supports "virtual mode" wherein data can be stored in external data structures and supplied on demand. Syncfusion Essential Grid completely separates its data from display details. This allows you to easily implement multiple views on the same data just as with MFC document view applications.

MFC like Dynamic Splitters:

Syncfusion Essential Grid can be used inside a dynamic splitter control. The control inside the split view will normally share the same data model and thus provide a new perspective into the same data just like with Microsoft Excel.
