System Requirements
The core system requirements for the Smart Messaging SDK
are:
- Microsoft Windows®
2000, NT 4.0, XP, Windows® Server
2003
- COM compatible IDE such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio
.NET, Delphi
- 64Mb RAM
- 10Mb disk space
The phone(s) you are sending to must
support the Smart Messaging protocol. This includes almost
all Nokia models. There are handsets from other vendors that
support part of the Smart Messaging protocol; you will need
to check with your handset vendor for details.
In order to send messages, you will
need a binary SMS connection which could include one or several
of the following:
- GSM Modem
- Cell-phone cable or IR/Bluetooth connection to a cell-phone
- Direct connection to an SMSC through a protocol such as
SMPP
- Messaging connection to a third party messaging provider
such as Clickatell, MXTelecom, PsychicSMS or many other messaging
providers available over the Internet.
