System Requirments

The system requirements for the EMS SDK™ are:

- Microsoft Windows 2000, NT 4.0, XP, Windows Server 2003
- COM compatible IDE such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio .NET, Delphi
- 64Mb RAM
- 10Mb disk space

The phone you are sending to must support the EMS protocol- this includes almost all Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Sagem, Siemens and Alcatel models since those companies make up the conglomerate that formed the original EMS protocol - there are handsets from other vendors that support part of the EMS protocol - you will need to check with your handset vendor for details.

In order to send messages, you will need a binary SMS connection which could include one or several of the following:

- GSM Modem
- Cell-phone cable or IR/Bluetooth connection to a cell-phone
- Direct connection to an SMSC through a protocol such as SMPP
- Messaging connection to a third party messaging provider such as Clickatell, MXTelecom, PsychicSMS or many other messaging providers available over the Internet.
